Round 1 contenders:
- Bloomin’ Tank
- Butte Meadow Top
- Whisper Wrap
- Pyrope Shawlette
- Ntaidrin Socks
- Setu Socks
- Sandglass Cowl
- Pearls Kerchief
And the contenders are:
Bloomin’ Tank by Jenny Williams
Expand your me-made layering options with this sweet tank. The width of the lace panel and straps vary to ensure a comfortable and balanced fit for the full size range.
Butte Meadown Top by Faina Goberstein
This comfortable shell is worked in the round from bottom up in allover fancy slip-tuck pattern. A small slip-stitch lace pattern is placed at the side “seams” as an embellishing accent. The gentle A-line shaping is achieved by changing the needle size to maintain the stitch pattern. Each edge is trimmed with a different stitch pattern using purl stitches, and the sleeve cap is shaped with short rows.
Whisper Wrap by Lena Skvagerson
This simple but beautiful Whisper Wrap celebrates the all-natural softness of the cashmere, silk, and alpaca blend yarn. The yarn has a lovely halo that accents the simple lace pattern. The long rectangle shape falls nicely and wraps around your neck for a soft and stylish accent.
Pyrope Shawlette by Heather Zoppetti
Beginning with a single garter stitch and a bold lace border, this flexible shawlette is the perfect way to use every last yard of yarn.
Ntaidrin Socks by Irene Waggener
Learn to knit traditional Moroccan toe-up socks that can be knitted to fit any foot.
Setu Socks by Nancy Bush
Inspired by a pair of women’s stockings from the southern part of Estonia, these socks feature openwork diamonds around the ankle that extend to the top of the foot.
Sandglass Cowl by Sierra Kreun
A cozy, lightweight cowl adds the perfect amount of warmth for a windy walk on the beach or a crisp morning commute. Pacific Northwest designer Sierra Kreun used cables and lace to create undulating hourglass shapes here, which keeps you engaged in your knitting, but the design’s rhythm is perfect for a travel-sized project on the go.
Pearls Kerchief by Seth Richardson
A kerchief is one of those pieces that gives you options: you can wear it as a headscarf for a splash of color, or you can wear it around your neck like a bandanna or a small shawl, and the exquisite cables make this an elegant accessory either way.
Follow us on Instagram @FarmFiberKnits for updates to see if your picks have made it to the second round and then vote again! The winner will be crowned on Friday, June 5th so act fast!
Have fun playing along! And we hope this collection will inspire you to cast on a favorite garment or accessory this summer.
