LoginThe crisp and modern motif of this colorwork cowl is worked in a wool/alpaca blend that will keep you warm until tulips finally push through the snow. The pattern includes a clever, decorative colorwork column that hides the jog between rounds of different colors.
MATERIALS
Yarn Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light (50% super fine alpaca/50% Peruvian wool; 144 yd (133 m)/50 g; DK weight): MC #4209 Moonshadow, 2 skeins; CC1 #42193 Starry Night Mix, CC2 #4267 Orchid, and CC3 #4277 Peat Mix, 1 skein each. Note: Each CC uses less than 70 yd (64 m).
Needles Size 4 (3.5 mm), size 2 (2.75 mm), and size 1 (2.5 mm): 16" (40 cm) circular needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; scrap yarn.
Gauge 24 sts and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in colorwork pattern on largest needles, blocked.
Finished Size 22¾" (58 cm) circumference and 17½" (44.5 cm) tall.
