About This Pattern

Spring and summer are the best seasons on the west coast of Canada. The days are long and warm, with ample time for hiking, camping, and evenings warmed by a beach fire. This hemp pullover, worked in a mesh stitch with a Henley-style front placket, is designed to keep you comfortable every day throughout these blissful seasons.

Materials

YARN Hemp for Knitting Allhemp6LUX (100% hemp; 142 yd [130 m]/31/2 oz [100 g]: DK weight): #61 Green Tea, 7 (8, 9, 9, 10) (10, 11, 11, 11) skeins.

NEEDLES Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 9 (5.5 mm): 24" (60 cm) circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS Stitch holder; four 5/8" (16 mm) buttons; tapestry needle.

GAUGE 17 sts and 25 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Mesh st on larger needles.

FINISHED SIZE 34 (38½, 43¼, 47, 50¾) (54½, 57½, 61¼, 65)" (86.5 [98, 110, 119.5, 129] [138.5, 146, 155.5, 165] cm) chest circumference. Sample shown measures 38½" (98 cm); modeled with 41/4" (10.8 cm) of ease.
