MATERIALS
Yarn Manos del Uruguay Wool Clásica (100% wool; 138 yd [126 m]/3½ oz [100g]): 65 wheat, 2 skeins; www.fairmountfibers.com. Note: The pattern as written uses almost exactly 1 skein of yarn. To be sure you have enough to adjust for fit and a full pom-pom, we recommend buying a second skein.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16" circular (cir) and U.S. size 8 (5 mm): double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 28 rows = 4" in garter st on larger needles.
