Susan Strawn, professor emerita at Dominican University, writes and illustrates stories found in historic and cultural textiles. Her publications emphasize knitting and include trade and juried articles, historical knitting patterns, and the book Knitting America: A Glorious History from Warm Socks to High Art. She lives and pursues fiber arts on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
