MATERIALS
Finished Size 35½ (39¾, 44¼, 48½, 53, 57¼, 61½)" bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 39¾"; modeled with 4¾" of positive ease.
Yarn Brown Sheep Company Prairie Spun DK (100% wool; 256 yd [234 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #DK70 ash hollow (brown) or Anaheim Pepper (red), 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 32" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; seven 5/8" buttons.
Gauge 22 sts and 35 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Broken rib patt.

NOTES
* The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from the lower edge to the underarm. The sleeves are worked separately in the round, then the sleeves and body are joined to work the yoke. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
* Lace chart is worked both in rounds and back and forth in rows. When working in rounds, work every row as a right-side row.
