Have you seen the new Clover Ridge Cowl? We just released this cozy and colorful knit to celebrate the launch of our newest video series, A Twist on Color: Knitting Self-Striping and Marled Yarns. Through four episodes, you get a behind-the-scenes tour of Lisa Westra’s mill at Feederbrook Farm and great lessons from designer and teacher Jenny Monteleone using Lisa’s colorful marled yarns.
I’m delighted to invite you to join the Clover Ridge Cowl Knit-Along live event on YouTube or Facebook! Before we start knitting, Jenny and I will chat about how she adapted a traditional weaving motif for knitting, and we’ll dig into the ever-important question of color choice.
Knitter and photographer Gale Zucker recently shot some great images of the Clover Ridge Cowl amongst the herb seedlings at Olympia Farm in Guilford, Connecticut.
Jenny designed the cowl with Feederbrook Farm’s stunning marls in mind, but you can use any yarn you like. In fact, I cast on a Clover Ridge Cowl using a natural cream and gray just to test the pattern, and I can confirm that this design is stunning in a simple palette as well.
