Deborah Newton is a knitwear designer and author of many books. She lives in Providence, RI, with her husband, science fiction writer Paul Di Filippo, a calico cat named Sally, and Moxie the cocker spaniel. She teaches knitting and knitwear-design classes in Providence, on Block Island, and online.
